Warm & Inviting

Are you looking for ways to make your house more comfortable, warm, and inviting? If the answer is yes, then you are here at the right place. Before you jump into the list, you should know that you don’t have to spend a lot to get that comfy vibe.

A few tweaks here and there – and soon, your entire house will look and feel differently.

Here are the tips:

Lighting

Lighting matters a lot when it comes to inducing a warm and comfy vibe in the house. So, ensure that you have the right bulbs and light shade installed for the different parts of your house. For instance, chandeliers work splendidly in your living area – however, a chandelier isn’t an ideal source of lighting for your bedroom.

You will want to opt for wall sconces or side lamps instead.

Now, while you might be focusing too much on the interior space, you will also want to make your backyard comfy. You know that the exterior space matters as much as the interior space – so all you need to do is to put up a few string lights, and soon you will enjoy spending time outdoors in a cozy atmosphere.

For your kitchen and bathroom, you can also add a few scented candles to the table. Scented candles are amazing for unwinding, relaxing, and simply feeling comfy.

Add Pillows

When it comes to your bedroom, it is our sacred space. It is the space where you can be yourself, which is why you will want to make it as comfortable, warm, and inviting as possible.

So, starting with the bed, make sure that the bedding is comfortable. Also, place bog cushions and a throw blanket on the bed.

Pillows always work. You might want to place loads of textured pillows all over the bedroom. Also, for the flooring – get rid of your wall-to-wall carpets and replace them with something better, such as vinyl flooring.

The benefit of this flooring type is that it is easy to clean, is waterproof, and gives your house a clean and comfy look. Now, if you choose to upgrade the flowing of your house, make sure to install the same flooring for the entire house.

This way, you will make your house look clean and spacious. If you choose different floors for every room, it will make your house look small.

Fluffy Rug

Now that you have a monochromatic floor, you will want to strategically pace rugs on the floor. For instance, for the living area, you can place a fluffy rug in the middle of the floor – as the room’s centerpiece.

Ideally, your rug should be where the couch/ sofas are – it will make the entire living space warm, cozy, and inviting. Also, make sure there is a fluffy rug near the bed in your bedroom. Ideally, your feet should be hitting the fluffy rug – first thing in the morning – instead of the cold floor.

So, you get the point – by strategically placing fluffy rugs or statement carpets over the house, you can make your house instantly comfy and inviting.
